The honest version, since we're not a law firm and you're not one either.

RoleShift is currently in an early-stage service. The career quiz, guides and job directory are live and free to use, and the waitlist is open. There are no user accounts yet. These terms cover the site as it exists today, and will be updated as the product develops.
RoleShift aims to help you think about career direction and, once launched, connect you with relevant employers. We don't guarantee any job outcome, interview, or offer - career suggestions are informational, not a promise of employment.
Registering interest as an employer does not commit you to a paid plan. Founding Employer terms, pricing, and listing rules will be confirmed directly with you before anything is charged. Full terms for employer accounts will be published when the employer platform launches.
The RoleShift name, logo, and site content belong to RoleShift. You're welcome to share links to the site; please don't reproduce our content, design, or branding elsewhere without asking first.
As RoleShift moves from an early service to a full platform, these terms will expand - particularly around employer accounts and listings. Any future paid features for job seekers are not planned. Material changes will be clearly flagged, not buried.
Adverts on the apprenticeships directory come from Find an apprenticeship, the government service, and are shown as published by the employers responsible for them. Unless an advert is badged as checked, RoleShift has not verified it. Details such as salary, closing dates and duties can change or contain errors at source, so confirm them with the employer or on the government service before relying on them. Applications happen on external sites that have their own terms.
The on-page helper is an automated tool that suggests filters, guides and general information. Its replies are generated automatically, can be wrong or incomplete, and are not careers, financial or legal advice. Check anything important against the advert, the guides or the official source.
Do: use the site to find or list genuine roles, give accurate information, and apply as yourself. Employers: describe roles honestly, show real salaries, and honour what your advert promises.
Don’t: scrape or bulk-copy the site or its data, misrepresent who you are, post discriminatory or misleading adverts, probe or disrupt the service, or use it for anything unlawful. Adverts must comply with UK law, including the Equality Act 2010.
RoleShift is provided free and as available. We work to keep it accurate and running, but we do not guarantee that the site, the directory or the helper will be uninterrupted or error free, and we are not responsible for decisions made in reliance on third-party adverts or automated replies. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You can stop using RoleShift at any time, and employers can close their listings or account at any time. We can remove content, return or decline adverts, or suspend access where these terms are broken, where an advert fails the published tests, or where the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will say why.
If something goes wrong, tell us first through the contact page; most things are fixable in one conversation. Anything that cannot be resolved that way is subject to the courts of England and Wales, and nothing in these terms affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
